What is
Microsoft Silverlight?
Silverlight is a free web browser plug-in that gives Macintosh
computers the ability to use certain software made for Microsoft
Windows as if it were native to the Mac. This has significant
implications to provide for greatly improved web experiences for Mac
users since developers who create content using Silverlight will not
have to worry whether their code will work on both Macs and PCs. It wil!
How to get
Silverlight for free
Visit the
Microsoft
Silverlight web page using Apple Safari or Mozilla FireFox and
follow the download link. I recommend that you download the latest beta
to get all the new
features.

How to start
making your own Silverlight content
Becauase Silverlight is XAML, you can write and edit Silverlight code
in any text editor.
If you want to use Microsoft's developer tools you'll want to use
Microsoft Visual Studio, but Visual Studio is Windows only.
There was a good mashup site called popfly.com, but that seems to be
totally broken right now.
