Microsoft(tm) PowerPoint(tm) Add-in

Grayscale Toggle Button
- Toggles
Grayscale and Color in the following views:
- Normal
- Slide
Sorter
- Notes
Page
- Slide
Master
- Notes
Master
- Does
NOT affect SlideShow, which is always in color.
- Does
NOT affect the colors of objects themselves, only how they are displayed
in the above views. Color objects will keep their colors even though they
are displayed and/or printed in grayscale
- An
object such as a picture or clip art must first be selected to activate
this button
- In
Windows versions of PowerPoint, when you click the Grayscale Toggle button
PowerPoint will activate its own grayscale toolbar that has the same GrayScale
Object Controls button as the GrayScaleTool. However, PowerPoint's
built-in toolbar is not persistent (it goes away when you don't have an
object selected) and it lacks the print buttons that GrayScaleTool has.
- In
Macintosh versions of PowerPoint, when you click the Grayscale Toggle
button PowerPoint will activate a color slide miniature live preview
window. This window is not available in Windows versions of PowerPoint.
Grayscale Object Controls Button

- The
GrayScale Object controls submenu lets you change the display and
grayscale print properties of the selected object
- Use
these settings to correct the properties of objects that display and print
correctly in color but do not look right when viewed or printed in
grayscale.
- Use
these settings to create special effects that print in grayscale.
- These
controls do not affect how an object is displayed in running slide shows.
Color objects will always display in color in slideshows.
